Puerto Rico Part I - Wyndham Rio Mar

During our first week in Puerto Rico we concentrated on sand, sun, water, and people. About 230 Family Heritage insurance agents and guests arrived at the Wyndham Rio Mar the week after Thanksgiving to celebrate their sales efforts. The entire week we spent enjoying time with friends from all around the US.

This is actually a photo taken by our friend, Amanda Arndt. Her room was on the same level and down the hall from us. This was our view.

Vision Team

This is the leadership team that brought these 230 people to Puerto Rico.
It's such a great group. We are so blessed to call them friends.

On any given day you could find us sitting with friends under beach umbrellas on beach chairs facing the ocean. Normally I'm more of a pool person, but the pool was so loud and the ocean water was warm and lovely. We stuck with the beach this time.

There were lots of naps taken at the beach. Our buddy Max Ellingson dug himself a hole and took a nap one afternoon. Little Ace Ellingson took a LONG nap on the lounge chairs everyday. One day he and Travis napped together.

Wittlee and her BFF, Parker, made sand castles together.

I decided to make a sand animal each day. Can you guess what animal I made this day? 🐙

How about this day? 🧜🏻‍♂️

Instead of making a sand castle, Taite, Lincoln, and Max formed a Ziggurat.

Dillon and Courtney Buck organized a very competitive volleyball tournament. 🏐

Jake Osowski packed Spikeball.
Taite and Lincoln played FOR HOURS with Jake, Ashton Roach, and many others.

Travis found some body boards and a skin board at the resort store for a reasonable price.
Taite decided to try it out.

Calla and Parker spent half of their time babysitting all the littles. They were in their element.
Calla and Parker love kids and kids love Calla and Parker.

If the girls weren't hanging out with the kiddos, they were partying with the ladies. “Ting, ting…!”
They had so much fun seeing friends and meeting new people.

The drinking age in Puerto Rico is 18 and we brought with us an 18-year-old. So Taite had the opportunity to taste his first alcoholic beverage as an adult. He carefully chose what he would drink, when he would drink it, and with whom he would drink it. Late in the week he chose to drink red wine with his family (and a few friends) to complement his Italian dinner. He hated it and could barely finish even two sips.

Very few all-inclusive (or partially-inclusive) resorts prepare meals as delicious Wyndham Rio Mar. Seriously, sooo good!

We checked in Saturday, November 26. Our week was exceptional. We all agreed we would return here if given the opportunity. We checked out Sunday, December 4. On the the next place...
